Getting a New Monitor - New Card as well?

I've got a bit of extra money to spend, and one of the choices I have is a new monitor (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824009145). I was wondering how well my current card would perform on 1680x1050 resolution. Since I figured I could use a new card anyway, what would be the best price/performance card for this resolution? I figured either HD4850 1GB, HD4870 1GB, or GTX 260 C216. Which would I go with? Other thoughts, suggestions, or comments? I was also considering buying a handful of games, or an iPod touch with this extra money. Should I just hold off on the monitor and get one of the above?
Help appreciated!

An 8800GS would still do fine. My 8800GT games at that res and pulls everything short of Crysis/Warhead/Farcry2 off maxed, an 8800GS should be fine
