Quick Build Check

Thread Starter
Well just a quick build check before buying

Audio Speakers ; Logitech X530 - $79
Case ; Antec 900 - $177
CPU ; E8500 - $282
Graphics Card ; 512mb 4870 ASUS - $365
Memory ; G.Skill-PI 4GB (2x2G) DDR2 1066 - $125 (I just recently started to hear bad reviews about these sets when it comes to overclocking, I need some comments on this one)
Monitor ; ASUS VK222U - $294 (This isn't definite , it's only there so I have something there )
Motherboard ; ASUS P5Q-PRO - $180
Optical Drive ; DVDRW - $27
Power Supply ; Seasonic PSR650+ - $158
Hard Drive ; WD 750GB - $105

I'm from Australia so these may seem overpriced to your usual newegg prices!
But these are pretty much as cheap as they get here

That there is the ram I can get, how is the 1066 TEAM-Xtreem set?
And yes I know, I'm going with stock cooling for now until I have enough money to buy a decent cooler
Possibly aiming for the Noctua NH-U12P

I don't think I've seen any performance builds using Kingston RAM. The GSkill seems to be hit or miss, but mine was a hit. In your shoes, I might try that (1st choice)Team Extreme or the (2nd choice)A-Data.

If you can get them, the OCZ freezer, Tuniq Tower 120 and the Xigamek Rifle coolers are great coolers for the price. And yes, I love my Noctua. I don't think it's that much better at cooling than those others, but it is dead quiet.

GL!
