What Are Your Idle-Load Deltas?

Thread Starter
I want to see what you guys are getting for your idle/load deltas as its pretty useless asking your load temps as everyones environment is different and deltas should give me a better indication of how my loop is performing. More specifically id like to see replies from guys with Quads cores but any results are welcome. On average my delta over the 4 cores is 15-17C with my q6600 at 3.6ghz and 1.35V loaded. I cant help but feel my loop is under performing but bearing in mind the fans on my rad at £1.50 ultra cheapo and move hardly any air. So what are you guys getting??

My vcore is set at 1.4v... I get 1.4v idle, and about 1.3875v load. Im running at 3.7ghz under water, and I idle right now at 43C, and when under load I hit about 60C.

Im in a room that stays 20-21C, and it has carpeted floors. The radiator hasnt been cleaned or blown out in about 8 months, so it is MUCH hotter than it is with a clean rad. Im using a dual heatercore, 1/2" tubing, and I hav a 2900XT in the loop with the processor.

Ooooh. That 2900 puts out a ton of heat, so your temps would probably drop quite a bit if you took it out of the loop.

Not bad though...

Right now I have 1 loop. But in the next few weeks Im going to split it and have 2 full loops. Right now I have it Rez-Pump-120x3-CPU-120x2-GPU/GPU/GPU And thats with a 6700 Quad at 3.7 and with 1.32v That makes the cores idle right now at 34-34-32-32 (in CoreTemp)

So when I get the 2 loops going I will do 1 loop as Rez-Pump-120x2-CPU and the 2nd loops will be Rez-Pump-120x3-GPU/GPU/GPU If I get the 3 8800 GTXs out of the CPU loop I should drop temp on it a bit. The GTXs are overclock to Ultra speeds. (630/1090)

Ask for load over room ambient delta, that will give you a pretty good idea. On plain water I can usually keep a dual core at 12-14C over room ambient with a fairly high v-core.

Your idle to load delta will depend on v-core, the higher the v-core the higher you idle will be and the less of a delta there will be between idle and load. On a E7200 I would have around a 28-30C idle and Prime load at 42-44C, with a little over a 1.4 v-core.

with my CPU (9950BE @ 3.25GHz and 1.475v) under a GTZ on it's own 360 feser with fans at 1500rpm, it idles @ 42°C with water temps about 1°C above ambient and it loads @ 56°C with water temps around 5-6°C above ambient.

my ambients are really my actual air-in to the rads, as the sensor is placed right over the inlet. temps are with my ambient at 29-30°C.

About 14-15 degrees over ambient idle, and 25-27 over at load

So 34-35 idle, 45-47 load.
