Help I have to buy another GTX280

Thread Starter
All I know is that I have a EVGA GTX280. I need to find out more details to buy an exact same one for SLI.

Is it possible to use a different type of GTX280 for Sli. 2 different GTX280s

Or does it have to be another EVGA GTX280

Also How can i buy the exact same one. Is there a computer tool I can use that will identify the graphics card to version and model numbers

You can buy a different brand named card, as long as the gpu is still the same gtx280.
You can use gpu-z to look at card specs.

They just have to be the same model. Brand doesn't matter.

any to will work but the clock speeds will sync up so if you have one that can overclock really well and one that cant the slower one will hinder the super overclocking one and bring it down to match its speed.
