ii am orderin a pc but i cannot decide which vga to go for.
512 mb gts gigabyte g92 $144
1gb powercolor 4850 $200

ill be playing at 1600 res. btw 50$ difference means a lot for my build

Where are you from? if you can purchase from newegg i would skip both and buy the HD4870 512MB for $165 shipped after rebate.

the 4850 preforms better then the gts, but if you have an sli mobo, go with the gts, or the gtx if you can get it.

4850 is around the same performance as the GTS, maybe 5-10% better..if you already have an SLI mobo id get the GTS if you have a xfire mobo go with the 4850.

They all said consider MoBo. Independent of that the increase performance and extra memory and the resolution you will run at makes the 4850 the choice. Unless you go back to cost. I think either will work fine and unless you plan on gaming current high stress games you won't notice real world.

If you have an Intel motherboard, go for the 4850, look for the 512mb version.

If you are on an Nvidia motherboard, go for the 8800gt.
