Counter Strike : Spray N Pray - Page 2

PolishNProud youre absolutely right. I've been playin cs now for almost a decade now (10yrs this summer) and its been the same with every version if u spray @ the wall the recoil will only go so high then u just have to controll the left or right movement to it. but i would never make my crosshair large in css tho cause like some1 said before u cant hit **** @ long range i gotta use cl_crosshairscale 3500 but thats running @ 1680x1050.

One thing I have learned in all my years of playing cs is this. There is no end all special trick to controlling aim. There are just too many inconsistent variables that affect recoil control. The only real way to figure it out is to just get used to firing the weapons in your own way and feeling out the servers before you get all serious and start talking smack There is a way to find a crosshair that is fairly balanced though. I have tested out this theory with complete noobs and players who have 5+years experience in the game and they all tell me it works great for short and long range. This is to set cl_crosshairscale to part of your resolution ex. 1280x1024 so cl_crosshairscale can be set to either 1280 or 1024.

Oooo I so hope you are using a CRT right now dude to back it up.
Only reason for low res on CS is due to old CRT's can't have 100Hz+ on higher res.

I MUCH prefer the MP5. The MP5 is pretty accurate, not terribly weak, and it can be bought even if you're team is doing poorly and you're strapped for cash.

i've played CS since beta1. and there's no cure-all for playing this game. you can find mouse tweaks, 100 dollar keyboards, gNINETHOUSANDDDD mice, the biggest and most expensive mouse pad, Team3D's configs, whatever and it still won't make you the awsom player you want.

when i used to play cometitively, spraying was the way to kill. spray w/ anything as long as you shoot a lot of bullets in your enemy's way. spray the boxes, spray the walls, spray the doorways.

i've always used large crosshairs, but every one of my LAN teammates thought i was nuts. its just what you get used to. don't change your config, just keep trying to get used to it and keep on spraying and praying, or praying and spraying the way you're used to =/

Less pixels to miss by, almost cheating really.
honestly i used to play at 640x480 because thats what i played with back in the day. i played around with it, and besides that its grainier, its just what i was used to. i finally stopped playing at 640x480 when i quit playing CS at tournaments.
