Best card for under 110$

Thread Starter
Limited budget, and i do not want to spend a ton on a sound card, i simply want to upgrade from onboard.

So my question is, what sound card will be best for under 110$.

The cheapest and best in that range would be best.

Rep+ for some help fast, as im going tommorow to get it, and a tv tuner, and a game controller.

Creative sells refurbished cards on their website, you can get a very expensive card for like 75 bucks. you should check it out for sure.

I'm not a soundcard expert, but I think the Creative X-Fi XtremeMusic will do pretty good.
I upgraded from onboard to that one and the sound quality was improved bigtime. That card will also be surely under 110$.
Maybe the X-Fi Titanium is also worth looking at... But I'm not sure how much it will cost though.

The DX is pretty damn good, but overshadows the Identical but yet easier D1 which uses PCI instead of PCI-E and does not require a floppy disk power supply connection.

I say Asus Xonar D1 is you want an all round good sounding card brand new and cheap.

Basically, but the XtemeMusic is a little bit better and easily modable.
