Molex -> PCIe 6-pin adapters

Are they any less stable then using the actual 6-pin connector for a graphics card? My 8800GT barely fits in my other case due to the PCIe power connector, and I was thinking of getting one to see if it would fit in easier.

Also some adapters need 2 Molex connectors and some only need 1. Are the 2 Molex ones safer?

I'm using a single PCI-e and a dual molex to PCI-e adaptor for my 9800GTX+, works fine.

In the past I've used dual molex to PCI-e adaptors on my 6800GT and 7950GT.
