DFI X58 Arrived - Photos Galore! - Page 2

Nice pics! Sweet looking board. Adding a few bios shots to the mix would be nice.
BTW: What is the system temp referring to? Just seemed odd that it's higher than both the CPU and chipset.

Both Green slots are x16 in 1 or 2 card and in tri-SLI green/yellow/green = x16/x8/x8. So yellow is x8 in 3 card but x0 in 2 card config if i understand manually correctly. I'll ask DFI to confirm.

Yeah i thought PWM was chipset temp and SYSTEM = motherboard, but i now i think it's other way round, system temp = PWM

bios screens come later

Seems i was wrong SYSTEM temp is NB temp just passively it will hit high load temps. But add fan over NB and SYSTEM and PWM temps drop!

Prime95 with TRUE120 air - room temp 29-30C

i7 920 and Turbo Mode Enabled

With Turbo Mode enabled you'll have access to 21x multiplier. I tested 21x205 and 21x210 for Super Pi 1M, 8M, 32M and 3dmark06.

i7 920 @4300Mhz

21x 205Bclk = 4300Mhz at 1.45v bios (1.488v idle windows)
DRAM Frequency set to 1333Mhz (1333Mhz/133Mhz = 10x mem multiplier) = DDR3-2050Mhz at 1.725v
Uncore Frequency set to 2666Mhz = 4096Mhz Uncore frequency
  • Super Pi 1M = 9.468s
  • Super Pi 1M = 1m 47.484s
  • Super Pi 1M = 8m 32.516s
  • 3Dmark06 = 27,087

i7 920 @4410Mhz

21x 210Bclk = 4410Mhz at 1.4875v bios (1.52v idle windows) for 32M and 1.525v bios (1.55v idle windows) for 3dmark06
DRAM Frequency set to 1333Mhz (1333Mhz/133Mhz = 10x mem multiplier) = DDR3-2100Mhz at 1.875v
Uncore Frequency set to 2666Mhz = 4200Mhz Uncore frequency
  • Super Pi 1M = 9.234s
  • Super Pi 1M = 1m 44.734s
  • Super Pi 1M = 8m 19.344s
  • 3Dmark06 = 27,360

With this MOBO, if you have three video cards installed, is there still room for their audio board? If not how do you get audio?

Epic bump, but to answer your question yes there is. It doesn't actually use a slot on the motherboard, but just a PCI slot in your case. There is a cable that attaches from the motherboard to that audio daughter card.
