i got everything that seemed pretty good to me

I would look at this case instead. The temp gauge isn't as fun as it looks like it will be (but it is cool). I have an Apevia case and they aren't bad at all, but from what I have looked at, this one will be my next case, most likely.

Do you need a TB drive? You may want to think about getting two smaller drives, one for the OS and programs and another for storage of music, videos, etc. That may suit you better and if your OS dies, all your files are still in tact on the other drive.

Also, you may want to check out other CPU coolers. For that price, you have quiet a selection. Maybe look at Xigmatek or OCZ.

I have heard talk of better thermal compounds than AS5 but I like it personally. Other than those things, it looks good.

If you are willing to wait, The Phenom II processor would be a good choice.

The only thing i'd change would be the RAM, Case, and the Heatsink.

RAM: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145214
or http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...k=ocz%20reaper

Case: the Antec 900/Nzxt Tempest or the Coolermaster 690

Heatsink, The tuniq tower or the Xigmatek 1283

A couple of issues, but first we need to know your budget!

1. You wont be able to sli with that board so choose a different one like this DFI one or this Gigabyte one or this DFI with 3 PCIe slots or instead of a 280 get a 4870 1 gig of for a few more bucks a 4870X2 or for about the same price a 4850X2
2. Dont get the 9850, either get a AMD Athlon 64 X2 5400+ and then upgrade to the Phenom II in month or,,, or get the Phenom 9950 and overclock it some more

3. That HSF is incompatible, so you can get this XIGMATEK HDT-S1283 120mm Rifle CPU Cooler or the Tuniq Tower 120 Universal CPU Cooler or the Thermalright Ultra-120 CPU Cooling Heatsink

4. Im assuming you have a not too small budget so I suggest the Antec 900 or the Antec 1200 or the Coolermaster HAF or any of these to your liking

5. To truly enjoy the new graphics card whatever it may be you should get a new monitor like this 24" Acer or this 24" Asus

6. Everything else is fine

Better Motherboard, OC's a lot better.

Also, a 4870, 4850x2, for a GPU. I know you have a GTX 280 up there, but these would be my choice.

Are you getting a new monitor too?

Ive always had better luck with Western Digital harddrives, So I would recommend them Over Seagate... But I wont say seagate makes anything but a good harddrive.

If your set on going with the 280 than either get a board with a nvidia north bridge if you are planning on going sli or just get a cheaper board with one PCIe x16 slot
