Question about crossfire with 2 different cards

Would it be possible to crossfire a HD 3850 and a 4830? and what kinda psu would i need for that.

that means the 4600 series dont work with 4800 series, 3800 series not with 4600 series, etc. you'd be best off selling the 3850 and buying a 4850 IMO.
