I'm shopping now, and absent any new information between now and a couple of weeks when I hit Buy Now, I'm going with the EVGA X58.

I've heard great things about the EVGA x58. Gigabyte's looks great too. You won't go wrong with either of these boards

Given the success of most of the boards from all the manufacturers, a lot is going to come down to personal preferences relating to aesthetics and board layout. Very hard to choose one best. I'm buying one next week and having a really hard time choosing myself.

I've been told in the business arena that budgets are merely guidlines. Now this may be entirely different in the private sector, but the RIIE is without a doubt the finest motherboard I've owned, and I've owned more than several. As a matter of fact, I currently have 6 in the basement waiting for new owners, unfortunately non are X58.

I don't know which i7 you're considering, but if you're on a budget it's probably the 920 so a board that'll be happy at high bclk would be a good thing for you. The RIIE does 220 without even bumping the NB volts. It's not even breathing hard.

Two bios chips and 8 bios profiles are also a nice features.

I'd see if I could squeeze the extra cash and get the RIIE fo sho..

BCLK definitely appears to be the weak link when overclocking i7's.

I'm waiting for the Foxconn Bloodrage. Of what I've seen it will be cheaper than the P6T Palm Edition / De Luxe, and definately the WS boards.

I don't plan on using more than 3 sticks as two banks always seem to negatively impact memory OC's. Due to the extra space the remaining 3 slots are highly optimized when it comes to pin to pin delays. Yeah, this gonna be a very yummy board with those Corsair Dominatior GT @ 2GHz 7-6-7 sticks
