If your making a gaming rig you might look into an e8500. Get a couple western digital 640gb for RAID 0. Antec 300 for the case, and 1 4870 now another later for crossfire.

That Gigabyte board would be sweet if overclocking is a must really, but if price is a bigger issue could go with: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131347

Do not get that ram. it is 1066 but with 6-6-6-18...

Go for these 2x2Gb G.Skill 1066 for $5 more ($54.99 with free shipping):
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231166

I have the Pi version running at 1066 with 5-5-5-12 and 1.8v.

Would GIGABYTE GA-EP43-DS3L LGA 775 Intel P43 ATX be better or same as the asus? The overclocking should be pretty good right? Couldn't I adjust the latency on the memory to the same instead of having to spend extra money?

You could get a gigabyte UD3R,it has only one video card slot. Its very similar to the UD3P. The 43 is a pretty good MB,i have one and i can get my e7200 up to 3.5 I wouldn't cheap out on the MB,find other places to shave money.
