Recommend Me An Intel Motherboard. - Page 2

I'm just returning to the overclocking game after some years off ( last one I did was on a socket 370 ) so I have been reading up and doing some research and every reviw of the GA-EP45-UD3P that I have seen has led me to it as well. It was also picked on another site ( first day here and not yet sure of the ettiquette of suggesting other places) as the board they would pick as having the most bang for the buck for a gameing pc under $1000 US. I'm going to purchas it or the UD3R in the next couple of days.

so the gigabyte board is really an OC'ing beast then eh? the best part about NCIX, is that its 15 bucks for express shipping (vs 14.98 for standard UPS ground) and they now have interact online.

i have no idea what to do. the DFI board looks sick, and since id be watercooling it would look badass in my 690. on the other hand, the gigabyte board is a huge OC'er (as you are all saying), and the guy i can get the DFI board from had it paired with an E7200 and said it OC'ed really well. (ill be using an E7200)

so i guess, new gigabyte board for like, 200ish shipped. vs DFI board for 120 shipped.

You'll put a new CPU on it sooner or later. Get the GIGABYTE now and you'll be ready.

The DFI clocks very well also. If all of the boards you're considering clock very well, then I would base my decision off of aesthetics and price.
