Warranty is out on my HP.. mod time?

Guys, I've got the system thats in my sig.
Its been doing okay for me. I have been playing Far Cry 2. I haven't played it online, I just like to mess around right now.. go 4x4'in in the jeeps, I have a trainer that has infinite vehicle damage, so that helps when your bangin around in the woods. I have it all cranked up for the most part, I only get 17-25 FPS with it. I'm looking to get a bit more out of this thing.
The warranty is out on my HP, I've had it for a year. Its a bit dated but its still a good computer, am I right?
I'd like to put together some 'budget' package, I want some better gear than whats in it.
I would like to overclock this thing a bit, replace the motherboard, new video card, maybe some more ram.
I should be good in regards to drive space. It has a 320GB hard drive, I have a 250GB Acccomdata external and a 1TB Western Digital Mybook.

Post up yours guys ideas.
I may have to get a new case. The HP one is cramped. Would like to have something a bit smaller, and a bit better designed inside, for better airflow.
I maaay do water cooling. I dobut it though. Seems too high maintance for me.

How much are you willing to spend? My reccomendations is to get a new motherboard (preferably this) get a TRUE and strap some UK fans to the sides of it, some cheap 1066 doms, maybe get a 4850 or 4870 or such, well thats just my idea , oh and you could get a new case also, to promote better airflow. *JaKe*

I've been outta the loop for quite some time as I got bored with computers.. I didn't use mine for gaming as much when I got bored with it so I didnt want to spend any money on it.
*** is a TRUE and UK fans?

I was thinking of modifying the HP case. and moving some stuff around inside and removing some of the un-used pieces to make it less crowded. I hate how the motherboard is 'upside-down'.

I'm just looking for some budget setups. Lets say under $700 for now? Perferibly under $500 but I want something that will last me for a while.
I'd like to get a new nVidia card, never been too hot on ATi.

What are 'doms'?

I'd like to have 4GBs of ram..

Well, ATI is really doing well and with that budget, they have some cards that would fit in well.

The TRUE is the Thermalright Ultra Extreme CPU cooler and UK's are Ultra Kaze's.

I am not sure if you will be able to reinstall your OS with the HP install/restore disk?
So, your looking at a new motherboard, GPU, PSU, ram, OS and maybe case.

Basically a new build minus your HDD's, DVD drive and CPU.

GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3R $119.99/$104.99 after MIR
