i need help with cpu on nc6400

i got a hp nc6400 and it has a t5600 C2D 1.8ghz yada yada ,anyways its always stays at 1Ghz ,is there a way to get the FULL speed? i looked in bios but didnt find any option for it,the only options i found are mostly security related, is there a way to get the full speed?

try and find C1e and intel speedstep in the bios and then turn it off.

again i must inform u that THERE IS NO options for the cpu or cpu related settings!!!

Hey how about you open an application an watch your CPU upstep? Unless you are stuck on a batt profile you are fine. If that does not work I will walk you thru tomorrow.

no when i mean its always at 1ghz i mean ALWAYS and i think i found the problem ,this isnt my answer but maybe some info on how to fix this

Why are we even talking batt? Of course on batt it downclocks? What are you trying to show me? OK you win? If you want to see your CPU at full speed just go in Control Panel? If the problems as you say? Get rid of the batt? That link? Rude, numbers? Dah!

its always plugged in though and the battery is already removed and its still lock at 1ghz man im not trying to be rude ,just need help

I did not think you were rude! I thought that battery spec sheet was tough.

Anyway I only want you to stress say Orthos or prime95 and watch CPU-Z does it clock up? You have already checked Windows to make sure no kind of power saving thing going on? It really does sound as such.
