Hi All,

Sorry this is my first post on OC and first overclocking or water cooling test, so excuse the noob questions.

I've just clocked a new Core 7i Extreme 3.2Ghz to 4.1Ghz and need a sanity check on the temps I'm seeing before i play some more.

My settings:
Multu - 23 x BCLK @ 177 giving me 4053Mhz (QP @ 6399Mhz)
NB & SB at 1.41V, DDR at 1.6v (Memory at 1799Mhz)
Cooling with a External Zalman Reserator XT and 1366 Waterblock.

I'm getting CPU idle temp of 29c (core 43avg),
When i hammer it with Super PI and all 8 threads are 100% the temp jumps to 79c instantly. !
Still didnt confrim what max temps for a 45nm core are ? but thinking anything over 80 is too hot!

Is this result expected or do i have a poor terminal transfer to the water block as the temp of the water only goes to 31c max?...
Does it look like my CPU volts is too high ? (I can go to 2.5v but thought, no thats silly), its stable at this speed, however I wouldn't mind pushing it some more?

I'll move on the the GPU's once i've figured this out..

Thanks,
Raz
