12,000 BTU Experiment

Thread Starter
I have a couple questions first ...

1.Is there any way to make your AC temp go below factory settings? My Amcor drops to 62F on the thermostat.. I want it lower ! XD

2. Any other suggestions to getting the best low temps in my room.

I am aiming to hit at LEAST 50F in my room via the A/C lol

Put a heater (or lightbulb) under your thermostat.

Short the thermostat.
Basically remove it from the circuit.

Move to VT, route tubing for Radiator through the wall, window, or to say a convenient 3 season room, enjoy cool temps.

You can jumper the thermostat wires. I'm not specifically familiar with Amcor, but work in the HVAC industry. In whole-house thermostats, wires are energized when there is a call for heat or cooling. There should also be a terminal that is live. If you jumper the terminal that calls for cooling with the live terminal, it will cool as long as it is jumpered.

late edit: It should be low voltage, most likely 24v.
