P.S. you will need to set your Boot Order to Optical first (which will require a keystroke when the time comes to format and install). Once you have the new OS installed you will want to re-enter the BIOS and change the boot order to HDD as you some Mobo Driver disks will yield a command prompt (when you are ready to install the Mobo Drivers.

And watch out, formatting the disk will erase EVERYTHING, so be sure that you have backups of all the files you want to keep.

You'd be surprised. I've read threads here where people were actually surprised when formatting the disk erased all their files.
