Z 5500 & X-Fi Gamer

I have a problem with the sound from my speakers ...
Whenever i listen to music, or watch a movie, The only effect that works properly on my z-5500 is 6ch Direct.

If I change it to PL II Music/Movie i get some kind of shortage or something... like there could be sound for a second, and then it would disappear.
I just played a song ... it's the vocal that disappears into the background ...
I checked all the plugs, I got the newest drivers.
Don't know what to do anymore.

Oh man, its been awhile but I had that card at one point in time and I had the exact problems and I knew the fix.

It had something to do with the x-fi settings, I think one thing I disabled was the crystallizer.

I would know exactly what it is, but their website sucks and I get an error when I try to download the manual for it.

All I know is, I had to turn off two settings in the x-fi control panel for all my sounds to be heard.
