How do you post pictures?

Thread Starter
I know this is not HTPC related, but, I plan to post pics of my newly completed HTPC.

I know you can go to image shack and have them host your pictures. But, how do you guys post those huge high res pics. Image shack only makes a small pic that is really a link.

It depends on how you tag it in the forum, you can make them show up as thumbnails, or you can just post the pic. If you post huge pics, members will frown upon it. 800x600 is a good size for a forum.

Or you can upload them on ocn, they will show as thumbnails and when people scroll over them they will get big.

Yes, if you create a Photobucket account, you can upload your pictures. Then below the pictures you can copy the html text which you can then paste into your post. It will link-back to your picture which adds it to your post.

Also note that you can add internet pics by adding the on either side of the web link. So for example, if you want to add an IMG of a Gigabyte DS3L board, go to google, browse by pics, find the pic you like, and copy it's web link:

Here is the link
http://www.cpusolutions.com/mm800474...GA-P35-DS3.jpg

here is the same exact link with tags on either side

Cool guys that really helps

Yeah, you should resize it to 800 wide, since that's the format of the "fixed" view of OCN.
Also, on Imageshack, it says "link for forum, link for etc.
Just get the direct address (without the [asdf][/adsf]) and use the image icon.
