Christmas Money Upgrade

Thread Starter
So I got a fair bit of money for xmas, and I am looking to upgrade my rig vastly.

My budget is around $650, give or take around $150.

Here is what I am thinking of right now...

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Why would I get a 610w, when I currently have a 650w?

Your current PSU is fine and i'm not sure if that GPU is the same as this one (cheaper)

That is the exact 4870 in my shopping cart right now, thank you for this code!

And do you really think I should drop the corsair 850w? My silverstone is nice, but isn't 650w a little low? I am a complete noob on power supplies.

You should go 850W. You may want to Xfire, you never know. And it keeps your possibilities for upgrades open.

I really do think 650W is enough, and I believe that PSU has four 12v rails, which means it's good.

I have a 580W powering my system with no problems, and I have an SLI setup.

Well if you're saving some money by not getting the PSU-(and even if you are getting the PSU)
Spend a "smidge" more and go for the 1GB version of the Sapphire 4870

With Promo CodeEMCBCCGBB
Your Price: $229.99

$214.99 After $15.00 Mail-In Rebate

[edit] and if you're getting the Xiggy -Def. get the Crossbow bolt kit ACKI775-1

I would totally cut out that PSU and get that, but I don't know if it will power all of it. Any PSU experts out there that can help?
