Logitech Z-2300 if you don't mind the loud bass. MicroCenter should have them, though I'm not sure.

Seconded. Great 2.1 speakers. Bass is smooth and loud.

Everything is overpriced. You'd be better off ordering online.

Z2300's are you're best choice there, and they are 140 bucks.

Online, they are 104 bucks.

Then my vote enthusiastically goes for the Altec Lansing VS4121 2.1 speaker system for $49.99 at Microcenter.

You see, I own this speaker system, and I'm extremely impressed with it. When I bought it, it was $99.99 (and it wasn't all black either). But now it's usually about $50-$80. On the X-Fi XtremeGamer, this system has some very deep and thunderous lows, and very clear and detailed highs.

I did some quick Google Shopping on the VS4121, and to my surprise, Microcenter seems to have the best price anywhere on it. Not even Newegg and Provantage can beat it. Provantage comes close with $51.81, but that's still far inferior since you'd have to wait for it to be shipped.

Now, don't be fooled by the wattage of these speakers. They sound a little more powerful than the way they look on paper. I think Altec Lansing did a great job on these speakers! I highly recommend considering them. I think my favorite thing about these speakers is that the subwoofer is housed in a wooden cabinet, and not plastic.

You may have noticed that Microcenter also has the Altec Lansing VS4221 for which is $99.99. But, those are essentially identical to the VS4121's, except they have that wireless remote.

But, what speakers are those that are blown? And what sound card do you have? Or, do you have onboard?
