I think many of you are just trying to justify not needing these cards which we don't but without a doubt they are gonna be the next best thing. I got to play with one today managed over 30k with one card in 06 and 100k in 03 not on my system but similiar

I can't wait to get my pair next week
I really dont know if I believe that, Like how do we know that 32.5k bench isn't with physx? It's a pretty sketchy source. I get 33K with physx on with a QX9650, I just bought myself a i7 965 so in a couple days ill have a bench with that and the GTX 280s.

If you have 3 GTX 280's i really think your better of staying with them.

Dont forget taht 3dMark doesnt represent games at all. Scaling with Quad SLI has always sucked and i'll always stick with that until they stop R&D'ng dual GPU solutions as a last minute tack on to there line.

It seems everytime they bring a dual GPU on one card solution its because it's becoming EOL (end of life).

HOLD ON HERE> did anyone notice the clock speeds? The Nvidia card is OVERCLOCKED and the ATI card is UNDERCLOCKED.... WHY!!!!

I cannot be the only one to notice this!!!

EDIT: ok maybe the X2 went into 2d mode or something but the 295 is still overclocked pretty high. Of course its going to win, its 120mhz higher than stock.

They're not doing 3D work when the screenshot was taken so they're considered idle. When idle under default drivers they underclock to save power.

Its simple look at the cpu scores..

I get that same cpu at around that frequency...if it was physics the cpu score would be over 40k. its at 26k.

Plus I already have tri sli gtx 280s and i7 965...

heres what I get with my current setup at 4.05

http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dmv=521007

and at a higher clock then the test here

4.5 P30,1xx

just compare the gtx 295 gpu score and mines wow huge difference.

http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dmv=593911

If you think something is wrong with that score then provide yours for comparison with your i7 and tri sli setup

Pretty much man people with more then 2 gpus are only using it for bragging rights and/or for benching. You dont need that much gpu for current games. So when something new hits allot of people with high end cards are quick to bash something that comes out that is better then what they got.

Me I will just sell mines and get the gtx 295s no need to cry

Ok so I took a look at the screenshots again and noticed they were both overclocked. The X2 around 830mhz and the 295 around 700 or so. Its weird because it varries. I dont know, its just really inconsistent and this source seems a bit odd. Im just not liking this review.

The clock should be inconsistent but what's important is that they were both at the shown clock when doing the test, and from other tests I've seen from VR-Zone they seem to have results in line with other sites.
