Ok, i finished my build, and my e8500 temp is 43 C. Is this good ? I cannot go into windows do tests and all. Also, my cpu fan goes at 1430 RPM. Is there any way i can put it higher ? thank you. I am using the xigmatek with mx2 and thermalright bolt thru kit.

for amd's cool and quite is the same as intels speed stepping. quiet fan is amds fan limiting option and it is usually under the hardware monitoring in the bios. best to start looking there.

grab a temp monitoring software and prime 95/occt/intel burn test, for stability testing(only need 1 stability tester). you can get most of them from the download section here on ocn.

the problem with the bios reading is there is a similated load on it so it not idle and it is not at full load either.

isn't speed stepping the thing that changes the multiplyer when the cpu is not in full usage ?

Is 20C a good temperature for e8500 @ stock ?
