ok, so i just installed left 4 dead
when i load the game, it goes to a black screen with "mode not supported" on my lcd, so im assuming its probably opening at 1280x1024 since i know the screen will do it at that

the game is loading you can hear the videos, and clicking in the menu htough

is there a config file anywhere i can change?

Did you get it from steam?

EDIT: well, if it's from steam (I wouldn't know because I don't have it -.-) for CSS, you can right click on the game, and click "set launch options.." and put -window

It should open up in windowed mode, from which you change your game settings to fullscreen / a supported resolution. If this doesn't work, let me know.
