Crossfire not working?

So I've got two 4850 1 gigs in my system and They are linked via two crossfire bridges internally, I've got 2 instances of GPUz open so that I can monitor my performance on each card and see if each card is pulling its weight....well my extra card is not.

When I'm gaming one card is sitting at some load and the other is sitting at 0%. This is true for games such as Left 4 Dead, Need For Speed: Underground, Fallout 3, as well as many other titles....so I dont know if my crossfire array is working properly....now when I open CCC it tells me that crossfireX is enabled....any suggestions?

You have to manually select multi-gpus in the options menu for some games.

Unlink the crossfire in CCC then see what your average fps are in games. Then enable it and check then you will know.

But this is happening all the time regardless of game.....what are some crossfire enabled games that I can test?

Test the rig with a 3dmark test with crossfire enable in the CCC and disable in CCC and see if there is a noticeable point difference

BTW is cpu OC'ed and what frequency

Are you alt tabbing out to check gpu-z?

Disconnect the second monitor and use Rivatuner to monitor the core activity, just to make sure dual monitors isn't mucking something up.

Also do you have benchmarks that you can compare, single vs.cf?

Crossfire enabled: 150 FPS
Crossfire Disabled: 270...
