After some investigation, I'm stable at 400x9(heck didn't know the CPU would let me go there), I tried getting higher FSB, encountered a FSB hole(which I didn't know what it was until some research) at 1700QDR, I had to set it directly to 1800, but then it'd boot and freeze right after it said 450x7 bla bla... Tried upping the voltages on MCP and FSB up a notch or two each, didn't help the situation. If I want to be hitting 4ghz on a Q9650, I need to hit at least 450 FSB, correct? Any tips on things I could do? (I'm also reading the humongous 780i thread as we speak.) Also, to make sure RAM wasn't in the way, I linked it everytime, and sync'd it... It's 1066mhz... It was at tops 950 with 5-5-5-15... Doubt it'd hold me back, at least that'd be very surprising.
EDIT: Sidenote, this CPU is a voltage eater, seriously. It just NEEDS 1.6V in Bios(1.5V under full load) to get stable at 3.6, lol. Some Q6600's gets there with lower voltages... Kind of insulting, haha.Edited by Pouleterie - 4/9/09 at 9:33pm
