Finally Stable! I was happy to see I could still move my mouse when I got home. So I got myself out of a 12 hours smallFFT and 17 hours Blend. Time to settle with these clocks... until I reseat my CPU+lap+do some airflow modifications. I somewhat figured out why my chip runs so much hotter than everyone else:
1- Bad seat most likely overdid thermal paste. I thought to myself... Put more than post-lapping, since it has more surface to make up for... Maybe I overdid it and it's acting the other way around. 40's idle at small 1.26V is somewhat..
2- My exhaust that's right next to my TRUE+push&pull fan has lesser RPMs + cfm's than my Ultrakazes on my TRUE causing the air to get pushed on my case, along the back of the GTX 260, over the NB and back in the heatsink... Thus why it's hotter and hotter over time, taking off the side panel of my case got the temps down and stable after a few minutes.
I think a mix of both of these factors are causing this... I'll get myself a delta to replace the exhaust fan since I really only have one fan exhausting(at least the way my case is set-up). Regardless, now that I'm stable, time to make my entry on here!
VID: 1.2(but for some reasons with all the stuff disabled in the BIOS, it's been saying 1.0875v for the longest time now... and I did disable them all. Is that kind of VID possible?)
I really don't know why it's rejecting it, though, but I don't really care. I can provide screenshots if that's not enough.
EDIT: Kudos to everyone that lead me on.Edited by Pouleterie - 5/6/09 at 5:12pm
