I've finally got my system up and running, and with some issues that have caused me great stress, I wont be oc'ing my cpu anytime soon. However, two questions:

1 - If I still OC my 260, will the 6700 at stock clock bottleneck this at all?
2 - Whats my best option for OC'ing: the program that EVGA has, or would another program benefit me better?
The EVGA Precision tool has worked Great for me.

Also I was wondering - 2 evga SC's 260 c216's one is 55nm and 1 is 65nm they will work in SLI together correct?

Yeah they will work.

OC'ing mine as we speak. But I am confused, why in the first post are the OC'd Memory Clock Speeds lower than the stock?

Cheers bud, only @ 675/1455/1100 (58c) so far. Baby steps

Between each jump I'm reading through this thread whilst scanning for artifacts...I might be here a while. Will keep you posted.

715/1542/1100 @ ~58c currently, is this good going so far?

Gonna push the Core/Shaders then once they are maxed I'll have a go at the Memory.

**EDIT** What is the max I should have with the shaders, I am currently running 745/1606/1100 @ 59c, testing 10 mins for artifacts in ATITool. Once I start to see artifacts I'll back off and try the memory.

Stable @ 745/1600/1110.

BSOD @ 745/1606/1120.

Gonna leave it there for tonight until I get some input from you guys.

it's rare to have shaders stable past 1600 on the 55nm versions...the actual frequencies you were at were 1588 when you did 1600 and then 1620 when you tried 1606, so if you can do 1588 stable, that's as far as it will go

760/1588/1130 @ ~59c before I left for work. Left it checking for artifacts, will update tonight.

This a decent clock? Any input appreciated.

Also, I've been considering getting a 280 (wrong thread I know), would I see much of an improvement?

Cheers.

That's a nice overclock you have if it's stable, I don't think you will get the shaders any higher than 1584, if you do then you have an awesome card

ATItool is good for quick testing but I wouldn't rely on it for 100% stability. I can run ATItool at 1620 shaders but i'll crash in games, vantage.

Give Furmark a try aswell as any intensive games like crysis, far cry 2 etc
