To be honest I run my card at stock when gaming, I only seen a small increase in FPS when overclocked compared to stock. I figured the extra heat and chance of instability wasn't worth the 3-5 FPS I was gaining ;l So I just have profiles set with riva tuner which up my clocks when folding or benching.

If I was you i'd be working on getting that Q9550 higher The UD3P is an awesome board and you'll see more performance gain by pushing that quad higher.
Deffo agree on the CPU, it was the reason I got the UD3P. But I can't find a step by step guide on how to OC, and I have little/no experience in this

Now I have a question...

Why is it that on my Bus Interface it says 2.0 x16 @ x8 2.0 when everyone elses is 2.0 x16 @ x16 2.0?

Just noticed this when looking through the thread.

It's because the UD3P doesn't have dual x16 lanes?

Here is a good thread for your motherboard if you havn't seen it already

Cheers I'll be posting there shortly, but does that mean I only have 1 PCI 16 slot? Meaning I cant to Crossfire?? I was under the impression I could on this board. Quite confused now. I'll head over there as I said, but if you could clear this up that would be great.

You can crossfire on that board with ATI cards but you can't go SLI...

I notice some people reporting 800MHz core... that's not possible. 800 isn't a multiple of the core clock. It is 799 or 810.
Once again...

Do you guys know where I can get the stock voltages of all 260/216's?
I would love to know which is best for OCing before I buy.

I am interested in EVGA models (stock, SC and SSC)... BUT, if there is something out there that is clearly going to OC better, then pls let me know.

Thanks!

Oh... a pencil Vmod?! Or software? I am finding stuff... is this going to require a BIOS flash?

EDIT: Well... I think I'd rather go for a card that will let me get a nice OC without higher voltages. At least nothing crazy. I wouldn't mind upping the voltage a tad so long as it was to levels the memory and core can handle based on other versions of the same card having those levels... but will it be worth it?

I am not interested in benching, just the actual results, cost and stability.

Started overclocking mine a bit... Currently at (Wasn't stable)... Really new to this. Temps around 58 at full load so far. The only problem is that I have no real way to test the thing. I'm using ATI Tools to scan for artifacts for 10 minutes, but I can't go gaming right after, as I don't have any demanding games at the moment. Successive Vantage run at Extreme preset maybe?

Not too sure of the OCing method on GPUs(Never done it). Googled some and read around. Pretty much got that you start off finding your max memory, then max core, then max shader, then try to balance them and get it stable.

EDIT: I can't seem to do much overclocking at all... I'm getting artifacts at 702/1512/1053... I really don't get it. Sometimes I can be running ATI Tool for 30 minutes without a single artifact, and sometimes I get it right away with even lower clocks... I don't get it. I've only been getting horrible overclockers on this computer so far. z_z
