Flashed my card with the SC bios. With 1.12V I now get 730mhz core, up from 670mhz I got with the 1.06V bios.

I tried to flash it with the SSC bios that was posted in this thread, but nvflash said it doesn't match the board or something like that, where as the SC bios had no such issue. Anyone know what the issue is?

Now, I'm wondering. Is there any other difference between SSC and SC than the clocks? I guess what I'm asking is will SSC bios give a better overclock than the SC bios?

you can force it to flash if you want

nvflash *name.rom* -4 -5 -6

...that will get it to work regardless of what the board is, but it might not work once you reboot, so it's a bit of a risk...but then, so is flashing anyway

Just be careful. I usually don't flash if I have to include those parameters for maximum compatibility. I had flashed my 6200 with a wrong bios and bricked it. Couldn't use it for a while because I didn't know I could find an old PCI card and flash it back with the BIOS backup. I was a newb back then.

so i have used the PSU calculator and i am going to be running 2 gtx 260's in sli and according to that, my PSU should be enough to handle that, at 90% load it says i would be using 538 watts? so i shouldn't have anything to worry about right?

Hi guys, I just got an eVGA 55nm GTX260/216 and used nbitor to dump the BIOS. My "extra" voltage is ALREADY at 1.18, is this normal? Haven't tried do OC yet.

It's a Vanilla 626MHz.

I hope some-one can help, maye this has been answered already but I haven't got through all the pages on this thread (a lot!).

When I overclock the GPU after a while the core speed drops to 399 and there's nothing I can do to increase it without rebooting... what's going on?

Also is there another program to O/C it than riva tuner? It seems very flaky but the above problem occurs with riva (when it works) and the Nvidia control panel O/C section.

thanks
