i have the same, shes clocking SO WELL.

stock cooler stock paste - 711/1555
stock cooler AC MX 2 - 711/1599
stock cooler IC7 Diamond - 740/1633

so hopefully when ive got the Accelero extreme GTX 280 itll be leet.

Flashed - running at 774 core 1458 shader 1150 memory - has to run 60% fan to keep things cool like this...

Can this get added to the O/C chart on page 1?

Does anyone else think the O/C is shader limited? I'm sure my core could go faster but don't think the shaders can...

Bioshock settings -

Despite the GTX running at 774 and a 4.2ghz system my settings for bioshock seen quite poor.

At 1280 x 1024 - all settings high (in game) no AA AF game playable - some slowdown

As above with 2xAA or higher (I hate jagglies!) it crawls to a halt 10fps or less when entering rooms or lots of characters attacking me. AA settings ran from the Nvidia control panel.

This is really annoying the graphics look really nice with 1280 x 1024 and AA on, oh well.

What settings do you all run (including settings in the Nvidia control panel or just say default if you haven't touched them)

even thought mine is a 65nm card I thought I woud post here instead of make a new thread.

I OCed my GTX260 to 694 1486 1050 and had fan speed on 80.
After about an hour to an hour and half of Crysis Warhead I started getting gfx glitches like a blurred trail behind a chicken that walked past and my shadow being always there. So I backed the core down to 684 and the glitches went. After about 2 hours the temps got to around 70C but no glitches since I turned the core down.

I wish it was a better OCer

default settings. for the control panel deal and i run bioshock full everything at 1920x1080 and it runs just fine with no issues what so ever.

I am somewhat suspect of his OC results myself considering the GPU core clock is sky high and his shaders and memory clocks are still low in relation to the core which would cause a bottleneck. As well the GPU will begin to throttle back if its temps are getting to high and he says he is needing 60% fan duty just to keep things running ok.

Not saying I do not trust he has his core at 774MHz just based on everything I have learned and experienced overclocking just having a really high core clock is not going to result in much benefit and could be causing issues.

Is your core actually running at 774mhz in the hardware monitoring tool? I ask this because in my experience with a 65nm gtx 260, the core clock will never exceed a 2:1 ratio with the shader, no matter what. By having the shader at 1458, the max core clock would be 729mhz which is exactly half of the shader clock. Trying to raise the core clock any higher wouldn't change a thing. Riva tuner or precision will still show the clock changes but in the hardware monitor it will remain the same. Gpu-z will also show what RT or precision show, but the actual clocks are what the hardware monitoring show.

My shader clocks are 1566mhz and my core clock is 783mhz. If I raise it to 800mhz, it will remain at 783 even though it shows 800 elsewhere.

trust this opinion, sir your guide write up on shader step values clued me into why I was getting odd results doing small steps.
