It's on the stock cooler

I don't know the voltage as i don't use Riva tuner so i would think stock lol.

Am very pleased with this card...Still have 2 more to try lol

I run dual GTX 260 216 cores and I clock them down to 470/1015/790 and they stay below 50C under load. I also always run max settings in my games and never have any FPS issues with vert sync on; they stay locked in at 60FPS. I will crank them up some if I need to for a demanding game once in a while, but I have found I get better performance with O/Cing my buss speeds and CPU rather than my VGAs.
I only push my shaders to the max. Makes a big difference folding.

I definitely gotta find a better heatsink/cooler if I want to take this thing to the max.
Update on this - well nothing I did seemed to get my overclock stable. It was fine in games but under Ati tool it would always artifact at around 63-64C. It's weird because at first the overclock was completely stable when I got the card but I guess the hot days really got to it. Oh and turning the voltage up... not a good idea. Testing in Ati tool was fine but as soon as I'd launch a game, even in the menu, it would instant blue screen and crash. I ended up using my old bios again (1.12 extra voltage instead of 1.18) and no more blues.

Anyway, I got it stable again by getting a new cooler. Before, on hot days, the card would sometimes go over 70C! Now even after 20 mins in ATI tool it never hits 50C! Also, my clocks are completely stable again at 743, 1600, 1200. I could go further - I'd have to test first to be sure - but I decided to keep it at that for now. Loving this new heatsink though; simply amazing!

Sorry for bumping this thread. I was able to overclock my vanilla 55nm gtx 260 @ 680/1445/1190 it's pretty stable but I was wondering how can I get it to reach the 700's? NiBitor is not working for some reason. Running Windows vista 64bit everything seems to be grayed out in the program. I'm looking for the bios for the gtx 260 ssc. Maybe I can reach past 700's with that bios. Any help is appreciated thnx in advance.

What's your extra voltage at? If it's already at 1.12 then that's really enough. I tried setting it to 1.18 and all it did was blue screen. I suggest the highest you go is 1.12.

Also, does the card artifact when you go past 700? Or you're literally not able to set it past that? What program are you using?

I'm not actually sure I was able to flash the my gtx 260 to the ssc bios. I used this rom here http://www.filefactory.com/file/a0128b5/n/SSC_bin Now I'm running an sli setup two gtx 260's superclocked what I did was I switched both pci slots and flashed both cards with the new ssc bios. But still I am unable to pass 680/1445/1190. The voltage for the ssc bios is 1.12 please check if I'm using the right bin file. Maybe I got a bad ssc bios? Yes My card is unable to pass 700's I get a nvblabla driver has stopped working and has recovered in 3dmarkvantage.

IIRC I uploaded that bios quite some time ago, the extra voltage is 1.12 Strange that you can't get higher than 680/1445, not all cards are equal though but still..
