Edit: ... and you have only solved half of the equation: you have not started to control the fans!

A good solution is obviously always a fan controller. Besides allowing you to control fan speed linearly, rather than three step (5V, 7V, 12V), it also provides power cable extensions plus thermal sensors.

For about $40 you can get the Scythe "KAZE MASTER Pro " 5.25" Bay Fan Controller. Nice feature is that it can drive fans with up to 1A (12W) per channel. Granted, the thermal sensors are not exactly high precision but good enough for rock'n'roll; otherwise you can verify the offset with a reference thermal sensor...

One does not have to mount it into a 5.25" slot if one doesn't want to.

I was lucky to get some Aerocool Easywatch controlers for less than US$8 (yes eight!!). They are pot ugly, but stripped of the gawdy plastic and mounted inside, they have one peachy bonus: black flat ribbon cables for power and sensors.

Which brings us back to our current topic: flat ribbon cables make cable management so easy it's almost like cheating. If one could only buy black cables!!!! I have bugged at least a dozen companies, to no avail. Well the effort was not a total waste, since I scored a couple of free cables.
Seems like I've touched on a very sensitive topic with the cable management on the right side. Everyone seems to be presenting their sorrows and woes with the cabling. I will try and see if I can do any better with it. If nothing, I will cut-up all the cables to the exact length and solder them. If that doesn't help, I'll try to make my own cables with tips from the one and only "MRU"

My goodies from FrozenCPU arrived today, and here they are:

From left to right, top to bottom, NZXT IU01, single-sleeved EPS extension (I did not want to disassemble everything to switch the current uni-sleeved extension out, it wasn't worth it since it's barely visible anyway), single-sleeved 6-pin PCI-e extension, Lian Li PT-IOC-01B port cover set (saw them before in a Chinese build using a Soldam, I wanted them, got them, and they're actually really nice), some FrozenCPU-brand rubber grommets, which I had to knife in half to fit right to silence the resonance of the top fans (it actually works, too, I'll update the OP in a bit to reflect this as it's easy and inexpensive ), and an internal USB extension cable (though for some reason there are only 8 pins in it but it works) for the IU01; I was correct in assuming I'd need it.

As promised, here's the right side cable management after I've done everything (see the IU01 up there? If it gets in the way of screwing bay devices in I can just pull it off, it's simple velcro; you might notice I made it look nicer with 2 of the USB covers from the Lian Li set):
For kicks, here's the left side:
For more kicks, here's the back and front after some touching up with the Lian Li port covers; the pop-up IO panel won't close with the USB covers on so I just left them in for the shot:
Oh, and if you quote this post, quote the image URLs, not the actual images. Makes it much less cluttered. Thanks.
Chunky - My right sidecable setup looks almost similar to yours, well except for the IU101 you got there. I had the itch to get it but instead was gonna throw a green CCFL there so the case would have a green backlight(sort of).
I'm using the USB extension cable I bought from FrozenCPU as well. Also, there is not enough USB headers on the MOBO to plugin both the USB and eSATA for the front panel(since I'm already using one of the headers for the card header).

@bulung & @crazy Eddie - Nice pics.

@Konkistadori - Clean setup

Yeah. I corrected an error with that; it's the IU01's own connector that only uses 8 pins, not the extension. Anyway, the only real problem I have with organizing cables forward of the motherboard tray is the SATA chains; if I could possibly find a sleeved extension cable I can eliminate an entire chain that I've had to dedicate for the optical drive because the other just doesn't have long enough cables.

Simple update on my situation as far as all these accessories, inside and out; all I want now until I move to water cooling, which won't be for years, is a set of black aluminum expansion slot covers, black aluminum 5.25" bay covers, a sleeved "Y" fan cable to replace the loose-fitting PWM one I have, and a single-sleeved 24-pin motherboard power extension to finalize the clean look. For components, all I want is another hard drive, a new video card, and a new monitor; respectively I've thought about getting a second 7200.12 1TB, a GTX460, and a U2410 once I get a new job. Once I've got all these things I'll be done upgrading for quite a few years to come, and I can then focus on getting water cooling.

Seems like a long way to go for you chunky Same here. By the way, that molex extension you have going into your sounds card(?) on the front of the motherboard looks ugly hanging in there. You'd probably be better off buying a longer extension and have that junction behind the tray.

Other thoughts:
1) I have the same problem with the SATA power cables coming from the PSU. They ae just long enough to barely reach my optical drive. That is the only reason why I have my drive on one of the lower-most 5.25" bays. I'm yet to buy the SATA extensions. I got the Y fan cable from frozencpu.

2) I have a 35$ BestBuy coupon with me and just seen that they carry Corsair H50 for 79$, same price as new egg. Can't stop the itch to buy it and get on WC'ing. Oh well, when does the purchasing madness end, if at all it ever will?
Is it worth buying the H50 and sell my venomous?

3) I had a dream couple of days ago of putting together a server with dual LGA1366 CPU, 24GB mem, ultra high end MB, 4GB Graphics and 6 TB storage, all racked up inside a 1000$ monster of a server chassis. 2 weeks later when I looked at the credit card bill, I had a seizure and fainted and died. That's when I woke up horrified. Crazy dream that. LMAO

EDIT:
I started searching for a new job too. Once I find one and settle down, will build a new rig in a LIAN Li A77F or Corsair Obsidian 800D(that' what I have in mind). Won't be until atleast 1 yr by the time I suck up the truth about how much I spent on this current rig.

@Matt2be - Could you find something for me closer to your area so I can be near FrozenCPU? LOL

It actually has to be that way, it goes like this; power supply molex connector > molex-3-pin converter (for one of the top fans) > molex-floppy coverter (the black one, for the sound card). If I could do something about that I would, but the Xonar DX doesn't use a molex connector, only floppy; it'd look tons better if Corsair's molex > floppy converter were longer, but... it's not.

Though, it's actually not very much of a long way to go; for Christmas I can get the new video card as a present, and I can use the money I get for Christmas to finish up on the accessories, which only leaves the monitor for next year.

Edit; IMO it's not really worth it to sell the Venomous-X and get the H50, they're just so close in temps that you would likely regret doing it, mainly due to added noise from the pump.

I had thought of doing this, too. My solution would have been to replace the Plastic parts to mount the 3x120mm fans with one piece of 2-3mm aluminium.
I don't know what possibilities you have in Belgium, but here in neighbouring good ole Germany we have Stempel Hauser and Schäffer.

Sensitive??? naww! Just impatient and no understanding for not doing things right. I can (at a push) accept that there are people who don't give a hoot about cable management. But I don't follow the logic of some people claiming to care about cable management and then having a spaghetti factory in their case.
(BTW: it isn't a question of order & tidyness, it is a nightmare trying to troubleshoot when it's impossible to see what goes where...)

Back to real issues: How can you not have enough USB headers.

Ohhh I forgot we have the ATCS 840 which gobbles all four ports in that infinitely cool front I/O.
The NZXT IU01 has the advantage of also giving you real power, for such essential things as loading your cell phone, or for external drives.

As an alternative I had bought a Roccat Apuri (mouse bungee w/4 USB ports, also powered). Boy that was stupid, since I have a wireless mouse; for which a bungee is as useful as a hole in the head!!!! My step-son has birthday next week................ he'll be happy! I hope.
