My 840 just arrived yesterday. Will transfer all my gear over this weekend and will post pics then. I'll probably cut a couple extra cable managment holes for the SATA cables and case connectors to start. What size molding should I get for the new holes? Will this from FrozenCPU work?

Also, like others I was amazed by the sheer size of the case as soon as I opened the box. I knew the dimensions because I measured my space to be sure it'd fit, but

I've always had cheap cases before and this thing just blows me away. Lovin' it and haven't even installed anything yet!

yep that channel will work - if you are just ordering the channel then mcmaster carr might be a better option

Do you have the two fans installed on the HDD bays there? Does that make a good difference in airflow? I have two Noctuas sitting and I'm thinking about trying that out.

It'd look even better if the guys had used the right paint, they'd told me what they used was meant for steel but they did it anyway per my request (even though they didn't tell me until AFTER it was done that they'd used paint meant for steel... otherwise I'd have had them sand, primer, and spray-paint it instead). IIRC they didn't have the proper paint to do it and weren't going to bother getting it for some reason, but oh well. The way it is, it looks great, but it comes off way too easily. Good thing the motherboard tray doesn't get any direct contact...

Yes, 2 Panaflo H1BXes, tied to the first channel of my Rheobus. They're more for assisting in directional airflow than anything, they can't increase airflow since they rely on the front 230mm to pull it in in the first place. That's why I also have the S-Flex G in the bottom.

Cool. I recently got this case, but I'm going to change the PSU to a modular and add a second drive and a fan controller. I'll post pics to hopefully join the club.

Just got my 840 in yesterday and was wondering how to remove the bottom 5.25 bay door the one with the 3.5 adapter?

Seems like it does not want to come out.

Is there a trick to it?

Thanks..

I have found some of the slot covers don't like to come out when the rest are in - I will usually just reach my hand in behind and start removing them all

just push in on the 2 tabs found on either side on the back of the covers
