Just be very careful when putting intake & exhaust fans next to one antother:
the danger is that the intake will draw the exhaust air back into the case.

I don't know why calling someone a "kid" is so fashionable here... there's no need for that. But I do agree, those are a bit huge, and personally it annoys me when the image hotlinks to the page with the image on it. Way too redundant.

Just modded a spare side panel I had laying around. I wanted to get as close to the frozencpu. bolt on as I could but I cut a little too much! oh well I think it looks better than the windowed panel from coolermaster. I cut the acrylic for it but it ended up cracking so I have to get another sheet. Also have to pick up some u-channel... no bolt on for me!

And yes I did have to sand down and paint the side panel. Unfortunately the jigsaw scratched up the paint. I should have cut it on the other side. oh well, i think its pretty good for a first try!

Also thinking about taking out the back stock 120mm fan. My bottom intake Antec tri-cool is doing a pretty good job of pushing cool air from the bottom up into the so called dead zone in the area between the 5.25 bay and the cpu hsf. I'm thinking about changing the orientation of the Noctua hsf so that it blows uppwards, towards the top back 230mm fan.
The only thing holding me back is that I would have to re-seat the heatsink. I have some paste laying around somewhere. I used it a year and a half ago when I built my sig rig. Does that stuff go bad? I have about a half bottle left...

For a first time job...I think it looks pretty clean. You just need to touch up on the cable management (instead of moving cables to the right, you could move them up first behind the motherboard tray). It's a good idea to remove the stock exhaust unless you don't plan on putting something stronger. But seeing that you're going to change the orientation of the heatsink to face upward instead...it shouldn't matter.

On a side note...I had no idea that ATCS was abbreviated from Active Thermal Convection System .

The window is too large, spoils everything.
The smaller the window the better it looks.
Also that Noctua fan is fugly.
