The black interior looks damn sharp! Very nice cable management as well. I never did a proper cable-work, this will be my first time. I dont know, but when it comes to cables, i find that my system uses much more cables than others - I guess it's just the impression and some of you folks here are really good when it comes to the cable management.

I dislike the fact, that my GFX external coolers (quite cheap ones btw.) require another 2 connectors. I might aswell get gtx275 TwinFrozr instead of my two 8800's. Should be slightly better performance, as i heard.

edit: just noticed, my GFXChillas looks very similar to TwinFrozr. Have to say my CPU temps increased, since i got them. It re-cycle high amount of hot-air into the cpu areas. I'v got 2 of those, so...

Anyway, I'll post some pics when I get it, and of the build later....Can't wait
Well, since i actually have that MSI 275 and anohter coming on monday, ill say go with the MSI. Its freakin awesome! Quieter and cooler than the other brands. Which is the main reason I got it. Fan on auo pretty much stays on 40% (barely noticable) untill temps get to around 70, then it spools up a bit. After 3 hours playing fear2 this morning, it never got above 62C on 40%. Thats how i like it. On startup though, its at 100% untill windows is done loading, then back down to 40. Loud at 100%, but they are all loud at 100. You will love it. Ill have pics up moonday or tuesday when I have them SLI'd.

Thanks for the advice guys!

Looks like Newegg made my decision for me though lol, they raised the price of the MSI to $249, haha...

Thats ok though, I went with the xfx, in my opinion it looks way better, plus it will match my case fans I got cooler master R4's in Green

Not to mention Farcry 2, lifetime warranty, black pcb(red PCB on the MSI would clash with my case Haha...)
Hopefully I can keep them cool

Ok back to case talk, can't wait to get my ATCS 840

Has anyone cut there own window for it yet? I'm really thinking about trying to install the one from FrozenPC...
I really like the all black some of you guys have, I'm considering trying it myself, we'll see though

I'd say you made a good choice! I preffer the looks of xfx as well, plus the fact it exhoust hot air out of the case.

Before you start looking for a custom modded side window, you might want to check coolermaster "official" window side panel. Here: http://www.coolermaster.com/products...te=293&id=6112

I think i'll get myself one later on.

Yeah, the MSI are a bit on the F-UGLY side, but they do what I want them to do...lol. Some hot air from the MSI does indeed go out the back of the case though. I have noticed no change in CPU temps due to the cards cooling methods either. I will be putting on the rear case vent over the GPU area tomorrow though, and expexct to see temps drop a little bit. Ill keep ya posted. Either way though, the 275 is an awesome card, have yet to see noticable differences from the 285 in games yet.

I put my gaming mb and 2x285 in my CosmoS and now I need to move them back to my ACTS 840

Fortunetly, noise isn't an issue where I live (I'm like across the street and 11+ floors above I-5), but it ends up heat was. lol

I was hitting 200F on one of my gpu's during a crysis run.

Never should of took it out of the 840 to begin with, but i figured my workhorse would want more room inside.

should of went watercooling, but oh well. Didn't think about how much heat would play a part during the summer.

Just thought I'd share. =)

Is the fan a decent one? The stock case fans are crap so if the fan you have is good, you may wish to replace the rear fan.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835185005

Well, situation is, i realised i'v got 2 of those, so i put them on HDD bays, as you can see on pics.

Should i swap one of them with rear fan?

Hello All,

What a great forum! Really a good resource.

This past month I finally built myself a computer, WOOT. I used the ATCS 840, EVGA E759, i7 920 C0, Prolima Mega's, Noctua Fans, Corsair Dominator's 1866.

Anyway, I was having a bit of an issue getting my temps where I wanted them and I added a 2nd 230mm CM Fan to the left side of the case

Now, before I start hacking up my side panel I thought I would ask for some advice here. My thinking is to cut my side panel and install a dedicated 230mm CM fan, similar to what was done with the HAF.

Anyone here attempted this mod? Anyone know if the HAF 932 side panel will fit on the ATCS 840. Once I added the side fan and closed the case, all of my temps, VREG, NB, GPU, CPU, dropped by ~5c. My GPU's now idle at 47c and my VREG is now at 27c. Very worthwhile IMO.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts and ideas.
