Nah, there's an "add to cart" button further down past the pictures and information. I don't know how long they'll last, though - I can't imagine they have a whole lot.

OK, cool. I imagine they come and go and when I had looked they were gone! Too bad I could have saved $100, but I bought a new black. Oh well.

Yep that's perfect and I can do the same with mine if I wanted to as well, but I'm actually now seeking some cheap enough cabinet/cart/file cabinet with wheels that's about 12" high with other favorable width/depth dimensions to then put my computer on top.

Thanks so much for the photos as it'll help others.

Here is what I got after reading your guys posts. It may not be pretty but I got it for $0 and it works with lots of clearance for air to flow in.

Card is for perspective

CAN YOU ADD ME TO THE CLUB PLZ???

Nothing REALLY cool to show here, but this is what I did:

I bought two 560Ti Twin Frozr II, which are running somewhat cool..
I tried the Graphics card airduct to further cool the cards, but it didn't help.

So I reversed the fan inside the duct, so it now blows cool fresh air right onto the cards...THAT works NICELY!!! I added a case filter as intake now (not shown in pic)
Also, it did help as providing more air intake into the case...

YMMV, but this is great for me...no more vibration caused by the two big fans sucking air out (a little too much negative pressure), now balanced by more intake, and also cooler GFX cards..they run at 60 degrees celsius in BC2...

I e-mailed CM and they got right back to me. Asked what 12v source I had tested with. I went back and checked (with my glasses on) and it turns out I was using a 120vac to 12vac transformer. I tested both fans on a molex connector on a running computer and both worked fine, and quietly.

I am just accumulating parts and don't have my workspace set up with multi-meter, other test equipment and proper power supply yet. I should know better, always should double check.

1) This may be a very elementary question but beyond my electrical knowledge. When a PSU is rated at X watts is it always drawing X watts through my electrical meter but only outputting what the computer draws? Or does it draw through the meter only the load the computer puts on it? Looking at PSU specs (Cooler Master and Corsair) there are heat and noise curves over %load. PSUs run cooler and quieter at 50% load than above. So a 1,000 watt PSU is running at 50% if the computer load is 500 watts. If that 1,000 watt PSU is only drawing 500 watts through the meter then it costs no more to run than a 500 watt PSU that is ready to burn out and creating noise and heat in the process.

2) In the ACTS 840 bottom installations (as shown in everybodys' photos) does the PSU case get hot and radiate heat upwards toward the expansion slots (GPU, etc.)? Would a piece of insulating material above the PSU a) keep the expansion slots cooler or b) make the PSU internally hotter and cause a problem?

Thanks.

The PSU only draws the power that is being drawn from it. As you said, efficiency peaks at about 50%, so if you're willing to buy a more expensive PSU for that small gain, go ahead. This is probably more important for a folding rig than a typical PC that isn't at full load constantly.

Also, high-quality PSUs shouldn't put out much heat. What heat is produced is taken care of by the unit's fan, and so there shouldn't be more than a negligible effect on GPU temperatures.
