McMasterCarr sells them for $1.50~ each plus shipping, which adds up fast.
Anyone have any sources for M3 standoffs... or can anyone tell me the exact height of the standoffs (I assume it's not the normal height because if I recall, nobody makes metric standoffs with standard-system heights...)

Looks like the specific product link is gone at mcmaster, but that was the place to get them since they are really specific.

Thread Starter
Ah, I just realized I posted old and new pics in the Rate My Cables thread but not here. redface.gif

Which did I pull off better, my ATCS: http://i.imgur.com/ehj2D.jpg

or my SM8? http://i.imgur.com/62fAU.jpg

I should get a much better camera for Christmas, so please excuse the lack of SM8 pics until then. tongue.gif

Edit; I've set the ATCS aside until I figure out what to do with it. I'm contemplating letting my brother use it (he's not registered here) but it's too big for his desk, and his cords aren't long enough to reach it if it's next to the desk.

Hi guys! I read some times ago that some of you replaced the four usb in the front i/o panel with four usb 3.0. I'm also interested doing it.

I saw on CM Europe Store (http://www.cmstore.eu/) that there is some stuff about usb 3.0, for example this: http://www.cmstore.eu/others/cables/usb-3-0-ext-to-int/.
Can someone help me to understand what I have to buy, I'm a bit confused!

Thanks! smile.gif

EDIT: for example Tasmanie here: http://www.overclock.net/t/437979/official-cooler-master-atcs-840-owners-club/4050#post_18233262

How did you do it?

Has anyone been able to fit a 480 res up top in one of these? Maybe if you take out the top PSU bracket and have the res stick out the back? I'm looking at possibly getting the XSPC RX480...
That's exactly what someone did with a 480 radiator but I forget which post it was. Otherwise you have the option of a regular 360 plus a 120 for the back and bottom / 240 behind the hard drives.

It will probably fit. I had tried setting up my 420 like this a few times with the excess sticking out the rear. Do you need a measurement? I can do one early next week after I get back from IPL5.

It will probably not stick out much. Here is pedros's 420mm

Im starting one project and I already mounted a 480 rad on the front.

It will have a 480 on the front, a 360 on top and a 240 on the bottom.
Thanks for the info guys. I've measured and it wouldn't stick out the back too much... I don't think you can mount it forward on the top because it would it the I/O panel... I'm only running CPU+GPU blocks right now so I want something beasty to OC with... I've also heard that running a 360 to a CPU+GPU wold be fine...

Yes would you measure the 480 + fans to see if it would fit sticking out the back.... Just normal 120mm fans... Do you have the XSPC RX480? Also I'm trying to decide between these 2 res options for my MCP355 pump... 1: http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/xsacdu5refor.html or 2. http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/xsacreforlad.html
