[Official] Cooler Master ATCS 840 Owners Club - Page 50

I just recieved my 840 about 3 days ago and my mobo came yesterday. This thing is like working on car its so big and so much room to work with. I'm still waiting on my Megatron cooler to get here and I'm drawing up a few diagrams for airflow. But overall Im loving this case. Can you invite me to the club.

What is there not to love?! lol
I think this case will last me forever! It is not only solid, it is roomy enough that I don't have to worry about future expansions or technology that may require more space (although this will be doubtful as everything still has to be able to fit in those tiny shoeboxes everyone else has! )
Seriously though, I think this case really might very well be the last case I will ever need (until of course one with better airflow design and more slots come out) ... still think they can fit more than 7 slots on this beast!

Only one disappointment I have so far is that I can't do true trifire in the case since my last pcie bracket is blocked if I use a dual slot gpu.

Try a different brand of card. Some brands have a fan design that blows air back in the case rather than out the back of the case. Of course, then you will probably have to look at another fan to help cool the case.

What sort of temps are you guys getting? (CPU; GPU; NB; SB; MB etc.) Obviously it has more to do with the components you are using rather than the chassis, but would be interesting to read nonetheless.

The cost, for one. It started out at 280 USD, which was VERY discouraging. If what I saw around here was correct, I was actually OCN's first owner of the case, and only through a stroke of Christmas luck, which should be an indication of how unknown it was to begin with. Now that it's 80 USD cheaper, I'm thinking this would be an excellent TJ-07 alternative (even though you can't fit a quad rad anywhere inside) for water cooling, and an alternative to the Antec P193 and 1200 for airflow (though the HAF932 stole the spotlight long ago as such an alternative, and for good reason).

Gotta agree here. Lian-Li's not so impressive outside of build quality anymore, is it?

I'll add when you've got the case in, don't worry about it.

Recieved mine today (18th), its gigantic and i looked at the measurements for cosmos 1000\\atcs 840 and the cosmos 1000 is bigger and i was going to choose that originally, glad i chose atcs 840 lols (more sleeker).
