[Official] Cooler Master ATCS 840 Owners Club - Page 58

Add me to the list.

I have had mines for about 6 months now. It is painted all black on the inside, but after reading some of posting here, I am thinking of changing. I have the classified MOBO so thinking of painting the mobo tray red alone with the bar across the top. Also doing the quick release buttons in red but leaving the push part in black. Alone with all of that, thinking of cutting a hole in the front fan cover of about 3in square and putting a red grill behind it and doing all my R4 Cooler Master fans in the red led's. Let me know your thoughts.

I would put a black grille behind the fan cover, it would provide a better contrast. Everything else you've planned sounds awesome. Added. Be sure to post pics when you're done.

I think you are right concerning the grill on the back of the front panel. Black it will be.

I also have the first panel that came with the case. I am thinking of doing some mods to it, but trying to come up with something that is good, that I will not want to get rid of in six months. Right now I have the coolermaster window panel on it. So if I mess up the other panel, no big deal. But one have to try and start somewhere.

Seems like there are new owners that haven't visited the thread, they really should since the best help can come just from reading through this, and it tends to be the quickest way I can recognize a new owner and add them.

My pc is working well but have a few minor problems, beep on startup because of my g15 bios thinks is a usb hub and another beep for no drive found in adaptor 1 (but starts fine and I have my HDD in sata 1 and 2). But from what I can see other p6t boards had the g15 problem until they updated the bios, I just use anther keyboard to get into the bios for now.

Idle temps from 33c to 36c (Room temp is 22/23c, core #0 and 2 are 3c hotter than #1 and 3).
Short Prime95 test max temp 60c with HT on and 50c with HT off (Planning to oc with HT off because its main use is for games).
I've been researching overclocking i7 920 and p6t motherboards lately,
and my temps don't seem so good. I'm going to reseat the cpu cooler.

Think I'll get some faster fans for the cpu cooler and the bottom intake.

P.S. Can post some pictures tomorrow

Maybe we should make a list of DVD R/RW drives that we've found to fit without any trouble in the ATCS 840 since some seem to be more of a trouble than others at least as far as my own experience with two different ATCS 840's. So far I've only tried a NEC ND-3550A 16x DVD R/RW IDE I have which seemed to slide in without any trouble but then the new Samsung SH-S223 22x DVD R/RW SATA I just bought doesn't seem to want to fit at all. Comparing the two there doesn't seem to be any difference in width just eye'ing them but I guess it's that fraction of an inch that's making the one a pain to get in.

I had no problems with my LG GH22NS50 and KAZE-MASTER-525

Edit - The I/O for Sound blaster was no problem either but i removed it after
