Hey guys, sorry it took so long for me to test this. I tried to this morning but realized I can't give an accurate test
This is re: making the exhaust fan an intake and have it direct air into the push fan on the heatsink, with pull on the other side pushing out air, hopefully getting released by the 230mm top fans.
Anyway, I can't test it because I have a shroud on my GT pull fan (only way I can mount it) and because it's essentially 50mm wide I can't put it on the other side without having to remove the exhaust (or intake) fan.
I did take a screen of the way I have it now, exhaust as intake going direct to push fan. This is 5 minutes in on Prime95 Large FFT test (most heat). Heatsink is Venomous X with ZM-F3 push fan, GT AP-15 pull fan, and the exhaust fan that is switched to intake is a ZM-F3 too. TIM is MX-3 and VTT is at 1.3v.
I like it this way personally and feel that there is no problem with the RAM getting hotter because the air coming from the pull fan is not hot at all, even at full load.Edited by LarsMarkelson - 2/11/10 at 12:01pm
