3. With the memory, does it need to be a certain speed for the CPU to be stable, or can I adjust the ratio to underclock the memory below it's stock speeds?
  1. Maybe the TurboBoost is left on? You might wanna turn off TurboBoost or Intel SpeedStep until you get some stability first.
  2. Downlod BSOD viewer (it's free) and google the error codes. Works great for me.
  3. I would suggest you leave the RAM at their stock settings (no OC) until you find the actual cause of the BSOD. If you're suspecting your RAMs are causing the issue then download memtest and run it.

Sorry for late reply.. here's what I'd gathered:

"Intel's Execute Disable Bit functionality can help prevent certain classes of malicious buffer overflow attacks when combined with a supporting OS.

Execute Disable Bit allows the processor to classify areas in memory by where application code can execute and where it cannot. When a malicious worm attempts to insert code in the buffer, the processor disables code execution, preventing damage and worm propagation."

It's your choice whether to enable or disable the feature. Since it has nothing to do with OC, I disabled it on mine.

Thanks reaper, Is it possible to have too much vcore? at 4GHz and 1.3 vcore it would crash about five minutes in, then I upped it the 1.35, then it crashed less than a minute in. Then I go down to 1.25 and it ran all night...

Yes, you'd want to find the lowest possible vcore setting for the clock that you're running, for lower temp, while still pass some sort of stability test (Prime, IBT, etc). I play around with the vcore on my rig all the time.. bump it up, dial it down, just to find that sweet spot.

This is a very happy thing for you! You should be able to get some nice overclocks just working around in that voltage range. What is your top multiplier on that chip?

23x with turbo, but I've been doing 21x since 23x wasn't getting me anywhere.
