We are already in the 4.5ghz and high 12s 1m superpie in the E5200 - superpie thread, so I hope you can do better with your cpu on dice.

@ glussier.. how many of those Pi runs were actually optimized for Pi though.. small tweaks make a big diff ... Ira's been running some screaming low latency with high RAM @ pretty high speeds too..

I definitely think 12.0x sec 1mil is possible with 4.4-4.6ghz and some tight latency

*the promos is crazy with the speeds though..specially that Team.. those 512mb sticks..or 1GB's..?
I was looking at those but kind of shied away because the were Elpedia, I think thats whats in these Flex 9600 and they die worse then the D9's do on me. If they have been lasting for you I'll grab a 2G set and try them out.

The Team is a 2x512 set I got from CD a while back. Love them for high FSB, I've had them up to a 1250 or so at 2.4v and a 5-5-5-15, they weren't even starting to slow down.

I've got my Cell Shock GKX in the oven....Man I hope i can get those tight running things going again....I love GKX, I had a old set of Ballistix that lasted about a year and a half before they died, that was the best set I've had so far. These new thin GMH die like flies and good GKX is rare anymore.

Way cool. Sub'd. Can't wait to see what your gonna get.
Thanks Buddy! Hope I can at least hit a 5 on it....I should be able to take it to a 1.7-1.8 v-core on dice pretty safely, maybe I can hit a 5G if its a decent chip.

Oh Yeah PCT (performance Computing Team)

QFT..

*as for the Geil.. they respond wonderfully to 'reasonable' timing sets I plug into them.. and dont need anymore than 2.22v for bench runs [8 layer PCB too] at 5-5-5-12 at 590mhz.. I cracked 48ns on my X48 with them, my best yet.. gotta run the dominators again though, to see what I can manage with them now.

All my good ram is ddr3 now, I'm not going to fork any money on that E5200 just to save .5 or even .75 second on superpie 1M.

Hey thats not bad at all, as long as I can hit around a 600 with a 5 I'm happy, that way when I'm running 1:1 on the 8600 I have a shot at 6G.

I have a set of the old 3-4-3-9 6400 C3 Dominators that I should get this week, I'm going to baby those till I try for a 6g on the 8600 again, I want a 6 so bad I cant stand it..

I had it to a 615-620 once on a 6x. I've seen a lot of guys hitting higher, so I think it will be fine on a 1:1 for a 6g run, I hope the chip can keep up..

What did your tests conclude using a low multi in terms of FSB?

Every chip is different... Some won't even go past 330 in terms of FSB.

Therefore, even extreme cooling wouldn't do much better if your chip limits you in that respect.

That was on the P45 using a E8600, I just wanted to make sure I could hit over a 6oo with the DFI, I could of gone further I think.

I don't really do a lot of prep work on these chips, that one hour run I did on water last night pretty well gave me the feel for it. I can pretty well tell as I go along what it needs, v-core,v-dimm,looser timings, NB volts..etc..etc..

The hard part is the last 100Mhz or so and you can only get that when your there pushing it anyway.

Well I have a little box of DI here, guess after Supper I'll see what I can hit..
