1.5 - 1.6

1.6 is pretty high. I wouldnt run 24/7 on that.

operating range is .875v - 1.5v according to AMD.

1.5v should get you near 4.

As theCanadian said, 1.5V is max safe. Also for your info, max safe temp is 62C. You can find this info at www.cpu-world.com for any prossessor.

Some of the people over at XS forums that attended the AMD sponsored events had asked the same question and it was stated by AMD that 1.55 is safe with high-end air cooling. If I get time I will look for the thread.

"High End Air Cooling"

We all have a very different opinion of what that is. I'm rocking 1.55 volts atm with nulti raised to allow for 3.7 Ghz... and i await a crash.

high end I think would be a good rifle cooler like the TRUE and HDT-s1283, as well as similar models.

Is a Zalman CNPS9900A LED 120mm HSF considered high end? I've been tinkering with getting my cpu to its max potential, and if it is, i am running the 555BE at 4.33GHz stabily. Idle windows temps are appx. 25c. and running at 1.56v
post #9 of 15
1.55v for high end air cooling, 1.6v for water loops.

Typically on lower end cooling your thermals will limit you before voltage will. 1.5v should be enough to hit 4GHz in most cases.

I've been around 1.65 give or take a bit depending on vdroop for over a year and a half constant with various 1.5-1.65v spans for various time periods depending on ambient temps the year before that. No problems so far.
