I totally agree that something should be done. Especially if Intel is flexing it's muscles to intimidate companies to use their processors.
I know, but when I think "AMD prebuilt" those are the first to come to mind. Now try "Intel prebuilt.." wow Dell, HP, Alienware.. wait.. everything except mac (which is gonna change soon)

Yeah but what happend with Microsoft and Windows? I mean seems to me if Intel can be sued b/c more companies make pre-built computers with them, then Microsoft could be sued b/c can you name ANY pre built computer that comes with an operating system other than Windoews?

I've ALWAYS said that myself. Windows is whored on EVERY system out there. BUT, I don't know of any other O/S that is as user friendly as windows. And don't say Linux either, lol.

I wasent going to Say Linux..

see heres my thing, I am not against Microsoft or Windows..how could you be? no other company makes a OS that is nearly as user friendly (cept for maybe macs) so why shouldnt every pc use Windows? but No people bash them and say they are a monopoly and are unfair..

Well as much as I hate to say it, I like AMD, I do think they are better, but they just marketed themselfs better, same as Microsoft

I ran Ubuntu live.. I really dont see why people think Linux is complicated, the layout was simple and effective and I found most of the stuff I looked around for.. But also I think Mac OSX is more "user friendly".. You have hotkeys of Apple+shift (key) to go to numerous files, like if you press A you go to applications (all installed programs on your comp listed there).

So you can use the newest mac OS on a pc? I know awhile back there was something for Macs that "emulated" Windows for people who were used to that OS but wanted a Mac. I didnt know you could do it vice versa

There are beta kits of Mac OS that work with normal PCs, numerous sources say that the OS runs much faster on Pentium 4s then on Power PCs, also next year all Macs will be Pentium

I don't really have a preference over either, I've got Intel, and my brother's got an AMD, and I honestly can't tell much of a difference between them preformance wise, but AMD is so much cheaper. But I don't really know what AMD is hopeing to accomplish by this.
