id rather have amd win than lose. of course i dont want them to become another intel (i wouldnt wish that on anyone) but i think intel has dominated the market for too long and they should b brought down a peg or two.

retarded, if AMD gets more money they most likely WON'T become like Intel, but it does mean that Intel will become more like AMD is NOW.But most likely AMD will learn from Intel's mistakes and stay good while Intel improves thus creating more competition and cheaper parts we can all be happy with that

Although, AMD don't need to bother, since Intel's ships are the second of choice of almost all of the "self building" community for a reason. Just even computer maker is signed up and bullied to stay with Intel.

Who cares though, really, AMD will sue and win, and I don't know what they'll get outta it, hopefully the market will unlock itself, and the key torn from Intels hand.

Good on AMD, the little guy standing up to the bully. Or, just plain asshat in this case.
Errr. Intel (~1967) and AMD (~1968) both had a fair start. Intel is just better at marketing. They always made good office solutions and concentrated more on companies than on personal users. Later on they started to develop cpu's which would sustain people's needs for using computers at home and at the office.

Well, if you could make companies buy slower (assuming that people at the office and servers don't play games ) and more expensive AMD solutions, than AMD would be way bigger than it is now. Try your luck, you never know

Do some research bro, the FX-57 is the fastest single core processor in the world,PERIOD. I can back that up with facts, can you back up your statement?

Wow...thats a pretty shallow comment. First of all more expensive solutions? Second of all, slower? Intel has its good qualities as well as AMD but your statement is just nonsense and part of typical fanboyism. Also try my luck? What do you think this is? Spin the magic wheel of bull crap? What luck am I trying out here? Try being a bit more open minded about your comments before you make obviously one sided and opinionated ones that make your little contribution to the thread useless.
