would it work if i took a computer submerged in mineral oil, then froze the mineral oil with ln2?

You would stop convection/circulation and your temps would not get any better. In fact, they would probably be much worse after a few minutes.

if the mineral oil is frozen, i wouldnt think you would need to circulate anything, as it is below 0 degrees celcius

No. Just no. If you can't see it. Then you have problems.

No circulation means the heat is not going anywhere. If the coolant is FROZEN..........

ehh, ill try it on an old computer and post up the pics.

im sure that as long as you keep the majority of it frozen, you wont have a problem. especially with one of those big copper cpu heatsinks spreading the heat pretty deep into the frozen mineral oil.

if it works, then i'll do it on my good pc and post the pics.
