I still dig it, man...Oh and the extra 285 sounds wicked!
rest of the case should be 100% by the weekend. I had to order some 3-pin fan extension cables to reach the rheobus controller. I was going to put a few more coats of paint on the side panels, but it's been freezing / snowing outside for the past two or so days. It'll be a weekend project.

How's it running so far? Any benchmarks yet?

Just don't trade this one for some game consoles and beer (well, maybe beer depending on the brand)....
For a very very quick and dirty OC, I wound up with this: http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=500205
I'll work more on it tonight when I can get into the bios again and just tweak some voltages. That was a quick and dirty bump on some numbers, but nothing with a lot of time spent.

I have my 3dmark scores in my favorites at home... I'm at work right now. Will post them during my lunch.

I think that was me. I need to reload the stock bios when I get home tonight and try tightening everything up a bit more.

Yeah, stock timings for your RAM (I believe) are 7-7-7-20
Why'd you underclock your RAM just out of curiosity? CPU-z dump shows 638.5MHz...
Were you having trouble getting the i920 stable at 3.3?
I can't wait to see what you've done to the outside of the case. You're lucky its snowing, it's 44 degrees here in Melbourne today

no no, I was curious what the dummy OC in the bios would throw it too right off... and it tossed all of those setting in automatically. I'm tinkering around now with my timings and voltages trying to hit 4ghz. I was at 3.6 or in the bios earlier and using eleet to push it a bit further in windows. It's stable now with the dummy oc at 3.3 and 22C under load. I'm pretty happy even with that.

As far as the ram, I need to get everything tightened up there... I'm still trying to get a feel for OC'ing the x58 versus an older chipset too.

by the way, the fan cables came in today and I should have the controller running by tonight.

Hey hey.. yeah, I've been working my way up to a stable OC of 3.8 (temps around 32c while playing crysis/l4d/etc) for the past week or so. The computer is all finished except for the side panels being on. I'll snap pics tonight if I can remember to. The fan controller came in and is hooked up, but I have a bit of a whine in my bottom intake fan... and only that one. The rest of the fans are basically silent. I'm working on getting the front of the case set up to where I can hook up a 2nd 120mm fan as another intake.

Just the same, progress is good.... I'll be ordering a sound card/monitor when my rebates from newegg come in.
